Getting Back Up to Speed with Our Full ATO Workforce
Supporting our people and seeing to it that you are compensated as soon as possible have been our top priorities this week, and federal workers should be seeing a partial payment as soon as today, with more payments to quickly follow. I want to thank our teams in Management Services and Mission Support’s Service Center Business Support Group who have been working with Human Resources to make this happen.
Our ATO teams have also been working to restart an array of other activities that were put on hold.
We expect many of the training classes that were already scheduled to go on as planned, while we work to reschedule those that were missed. Programs that were put on hiatus will have to be reignited as we thoughtfully consider the best way to do so.
It will take awhile to determine the full impact of this interruption on our airspace and on our people. I hope you will continue to draw on the furlough information that we have posted to help you during this transition. And thank you for being patient with and supportive of one another as we recover and return our operation to normal.
We have an opportunity now to kick off the new year with renewed enthusiasm and remind ourselves of our accomplishments. So please plan to tune in to the rescheduled ATO Forum in February, and watch your email for further details.
I am so grateful to have our full ATO team back at work this week.
