DAYTRIP to The Diefenbunker! This National Historic Site of Canada is an underground nuclear bunker built in secrecy during the height of the Cold War. As the Central Emergency Headquarters, it was meant to house the top officials of the government and military during the risk of nuclear attack.
Experience the tension and tumult of nuclear threat as you journey deep into a 100,000 square foot underground bunker built in secrecy by the Canadian Government during the height of the Cold War. Explore rooms built to run Canada’s emergency government: the Prime Minister’s suite with its single bed, the War Cabinet Room, a period operating room, and broadcast centre. We will participate in a private two-hour guided group tour, where we will carry out each step of the official 11 Steps to Survival guide issued to citizens by the Canadian Government during the Cold War era.
The tour will be followed by a luncheon at the NAV CANADA Simulation Centre. You can expect a surprise tour in the afternoon!
We are very excited to be holding the CLOSING BANQUET at Canada’s Aviation and Space Museum. Located on a former military air base just five kilometers from the Prime Minister’s residence at 24 Sussex Drive in Ottawa, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum focuses on aviation in Canada within an international context – from its beginnings in 1909 to today. We will be dine and dance amidst the incredible aviation displays. Don’t forget… it’s a sock hop!
We look forward to seeing you at the PWC’s 42nd annual conference, and first conference in Canada! For further information or inquiries, please contact us as email@example.com .
